Catalytic Converters Thefts

Recently there has been a spike in the theft of Catalytic Converters from vehicles across Taunton.

Although investigations into these thefts are ongoing, we are advising drivers to be weary and take simple and sensible precautions to ensure the safety of their vehicles, such as:

Parking your vehicle in a locked garage where possible, but if this isn’t an option to park it in a well-lit and populated area.

Avoid parking your vehicle half on the pavement and half on the road, as this may make it easier for thieves to access the catalytic converter.
