Poaching & Illegal Hunting

We are seeing an increase in reports of poaching and illegal hunting in the area. We are working closely with our Rural Affairs Unit to target this and provide support and advice for landowners affected by this activity.

Patrols have been carried out across the beat to act as a high visibility deterrent for poachers. Officers have been in contact with landowners to discuss poaching prevention and supply warning signs similar to those issued to Farm and Horse Watch scheme members.
