The neighbourhood policing team are taking proactive steps in dealing with county-line activity. NPT officers have recently been working with our intel colleagues and specialist officers from ‘operation remedy’ to tackle drug crime head on; conducting warrants, stop-searches and making arrests. We have also been conducting school visits; teaching young people to recognise the signs of grooming and modern day slavery. We work closely with third party organisations, such as ‘Hidden Voices’ to raise awareness, and work towards eliminating this behaviour in our communities. We have also been carrying out sessions on Mini police to try and help the young people in schools stay out of trouble.
