Powered Transporters/E-Scooters

Yate Neighbourhood Officers will be looking to engage with riders/owners of E-Scooters to educate them on the legislation around their usage.

At present E-Scooters can only be used on private land to which the public does not have access without legal restriction.

They cannot be used on footpaths, pavements, bridleways, cycle lanes or other spaces dedicated to cycle use.

If used on a road they must be registered, licensed, taxed and the rider also licensed and insured.

For further information please contact you local NPT officers

06/05/21 – NPT officers have engaged with a number of people seen using e-scooters around Yate and educated them on the above legislation. This will continue over coming months
