Drinking alcohol in the market square in Shepton Mallet.

We have continued to monitor the street drinking around market square with patrols that happen on a regular occurrence which has shown a huge decrease in numbers building up in the area.

Beat surgeries will be arranged in the coming weeks so you can pop down and have a talk with our neighbourhood team. The town team have also worked hard with the council to request bigger signage of the PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) in order to educate and show that the area is  NOT for drinking alcohol.

Make sure you follow our social media page Mendip Neighbourhood to see any beat surgeries, event or news pages to see updates for the month.

Any enquiries call 101 or emergencies call 999.
