Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Thefts from sheds and outbuildings

In light of recent activity and as we approach the spring months, the temptation for many of us to purchase new garden machinery is great.

Unfortunately for the opportunist burglar, this can be greater and can have expensive consequences. Every time you cut your grass, you are advertising what you have in your shed!

Please take some necessary steps to ensure you protect your belongings:

  • Fit a quality padlock
  • A Solar Powered Security light (No wiring required)
  • Any larger expensive items can be chained together inside the shed.

These simple steps can be enough to deter a criminal and protect your possessions and cost very little to purchase, far less than a new Lawn Mower, and the stress of having to report a crime

The PCSO’s have engaged with a vast number of their local communities and providing security advice at their beat surgeries.

As a result, it is very pleasing to say that there has been no increase in shed breaks and security measures have been increased.
